1. Data Controller

The data controller in connection with the app "RepOff – AI Workout Planner" is David Zwirtmayr (email: nolucidcare@outlook.com).

2. Data We Collect & Purpose

We process personal data only as necessary to provide and improve the app, or where you have consented:

Account & sign-in data: Email, display name (e.g. when signing in with Apple), to manage your account and make the app available.
Usage & device data: Device type, operating system, general usage statistics (e.g. via Firebase/Google), to fix issues and improve the app.
Content you create: Workout data, nutrition entries, goals, etc. are stored on your device and, if you sign in, optionally in our backend to provide app features.
Subscriptions & payments: Handled via Apple; we do not receive payment card details. We may receive subscription status and transaction-related information (e.g. via RevenueCat) to control access to premium features.

3. Legal Basis

Processing is based on your consent (e.g. when signing in), performance of the contract (use of the app and subscriptions), and our legitimate interests (operation, security, improvement of the app), unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

4. Retention

We keep your data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. After you delete your account, personal data is deleted or anonymized promptly, unless legal exceptions apply.

5. AI Coach & Third-Party AI Service

The app includes an AI Coach feature powered by Google's Gemini AI (via Firebase AI). When you use the AI Coach, the following data is sent to Google for processing:

Fitness data: Your calorie and protein goals, today's meal entries (calories, protein, carbs, fat), workout statistics (weekly workouts, training volume).
Chat messages: The text messages you send in the AI Coach chat.
Profile data: Your display name and training goal (if set).

This data is used exclusively to generate personalized fitness and nutrition recommendations within the chat. Your chat messages are not permanently stored by the AI service and are processed only for the duration of the conversation. Data is transmitted encrypted.

Before using the AI Coach for the first time, the app asks for your explicit consent. You can use the app without the AI Coach feature.

6. Sharing with Third Parties

We share data only with service providers that help us operate the app (e.g. hosting, analytics, auth), and only to the extent necessary. We use in particular:

Google/Firebase (authentication, cloud database, analytics, AI Coach)
Apple (sign-in, subscription processing)
RevenueCat (subscription and revenue overview)

These providers may process data outside the EU/EEA; we ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses) where required.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectify, delete, and restrict processing of your data, as well as data portability and to object. You may lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. For questions or to exercise your rights, contact nolucidcare@outlook.com.

8. Data Deletion

You can delete your data at any time in the app: Settings → "Delete all data" or "Delete account". You can also contact us by email.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when necessary. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email.
